Overview
The LA Ambisonics sound effects library is an extensive collection of 239 immersive urban ambience recordings from throughout the city of Los Angeles - all recorded by Academy Award®-winner Mark Mangini (Dune, Blade Runner 2049). Add these LA ambiences sounds to strengthen your scenes with an authentic city soundscape - from beach and boardwalk sounds, city and freeway traffic, to street and restaurant walla, plane pass bys, and more.
LA Ambisonics was captured at various locations throughout Los Angeles including LAX, Venice Beach, Hollywood Boulevard, Union Station, Laurel Canyon and more. All recordings are provided in both stereo and Ambisonic B-format (FuMa). Using the free SoundField by RØDE plugin, the Ambisonics format allows you to point “virtual microphones” in real-time, change polar patterns, and decode to mono, stereo, 5.1, 7.1 and beyond for endless creative possibilities.
