Overview
Rattling Rides is a mechanical sound effects library featuring powerful rattles, impacts, vibrations, and pneumatic hiss sounds from a variety of mechanical devices and amusement park rides. Recorded after-hours at an amusement park by sound artists Tobias Poppe (Jojo Rabbit) and Chris Diebold (Spider-Man: No Way Home), these sounds were captured with sound designers in mind.
Instead of rattles with a small, metallic, hollow character, their goal was to get textures that were more heavy, tight, and modern sounding. And since these sounds were recorded at 192kHz high resolution with high quality microphones including the Sanken CO-100K, there are endless possibilities for creative sound design with pitching and processing.
