The Richard King Vehicle Series features world-class vehicle sound effects libraries developed from the private collection of four-time Academy Award®-winning sound artist Richard King (Oppenheimer, Inception). All sounds were expertly captured by industry-leading recordists with the resources of a Hollywood budget - often with multiple microphones from various perspectives to give editors maximum flexibility for creativity and realism.

This comprehensive tire sound effects library goes well beyond basic road noise. Rather than recording isolated Foley sounds on different surfaces in a studio, these detailed tire recordings were curated from different vehicle sessions and specifically created with the intent of capturing tire performance in diverse real-world conditions.

Recorded in the field at 96kHz, Richard King and crew captured high-quality tire noises on dirt, pavement, snow, and many other surfaces, covering an array of maneuvers including peel outs, pass bys, donuts, and skidding stops. Tires were captured at varying speeds and levels of inflation and destruction - including flat, shredded, and even down to the bare metal rim. With over 30 multi-channel takes using three mics positioned at different locations on the chassis away from the engine with a stereo track from the vehicle interior, plus numerous exterior pass bys focused on the tires, this library delivers all the colors you need to cut tire sound effects with ease and get professional sounding results.
