Overview

The best way to create unique sound design is to start with unique material – and no one knows that better than acclaimed sound artist Richard King (Oppenheimer, Inception). Throughout his award-winning career, King has deployed unorthodox recording techniques to capture inspiring source material for his sound design, and he’s pulled out all the stops for the recordings in Extended Techniques in Sound.

From unusual electromagnetic noises to unexpected metallic textures, mechanical vibrations, and beyond, this library is packed with sounds you won’t find anywhere else. Using contact mics, electromagnetic pickups, hydrophones, and traditional microphones, King has coaxed a ton of unique textures out of a variety of sources.
